Valentine's Day 2010

Since Valentine's Day is not a big holiday for myself or Nick, we decided to spend the weekend doing whatever we wanted to do. That meant winter camping for Nick and and that meant shopping in Minnesota for me.

I had a blast staying with my brother and sister-in-law in Wisconsin. My sister-in-law, Emily, took me all over the Twin Cities so I could fill all of my food and shopping cravings. We hit up many Patinas (including the one that recently burned down), Cock-a-doodle-doo (in it's new location), Shop Local, J.Crew, Pottery Barn and several new booutiques. Words cannot describe the awesomeness! I also got to meet up with my MN best friends at King and I Thai and then at Bonfire on Grand (no pictures to share). It was so great to catch up and we're planning a tentative get together in Buffalo. Fingers crossed!

Nick also had a great time camping! He went with our good friend, Trey, to the Adirondacks (pardon my spelling) for a couple of nights. They had to backpack/snow shoe to the campsite, so it was pretty hard core. It sounded like they had fun and no one lost any digits to frost bite. Trey has pretty much any camping equipment you could ever need (due to living in Colorado), so they were adequately prepared for the elements. Anyway, here are some pictures that the fellas managed to snap. Patience please - it's my first time posting pictures!

Egh, the posting of pics didn't go so smoothly...maybe next time.

  1. YEAH! You're blogging!! I'll just post on every entry, OK?!

An email is coming your way tomorrow... but I'm jealous of your MN trip and just looking at those pictures confirms I will never go winter camping. Ever.
